Centralized vs Decentralized ID — combine, don’t oppose
I often see discussions opposing Centralized and Decentralized ID, highlighting centralized biometric-based identity as a risk for individuals and prefering decentralized attributes-based identity as a safe solution.
Using biometrics is the most sure and convenient way to ensure that “it’s me” preventing multiple identities fraud, and it does not mean I need to share “who I am”
My opinion is they are not opposed and can be combined to enjoy their both benefits while mitigating risks for individuals.
